A SYDNEY primary school teacher has been sacked for appearing in a sealed nude photo shoot in Cleo magazine with her husband.

The Manly Daily reports that Lynne Tziolas was dismissed from her full-time temporary position at Narraweena Public School and has now begun legal action against the NSW Education Department for unfair dismissal.

At least 40 parents have signed a petition to have her reinstated.

Ms Tziolas, 24, and her husband Antonios, 45, appear in the magazine in a sealed section with nine other couples, who share details about each other’s favourite body part and their sexual practices. A nude photo of the couple shows them in an embrace, facing each other so nothing is visible.

“It was very tasteful and I need to make it known that in no way do I ever let my private life affect or influence the content I disseminate in the classroom,” Ms Tziolas told The Manly Daily.

"I could understand if I was a high school teacher, but I’m a primary school teacher and this appeared in a women’s adult magazine.”

The Education Department says Ms Tziolas' suspension follows complaints from "several" parents at the school.

"Several Narraweena parents complained to the school about photographs and inappropriate sexual comments in a Cleo magazine article," a department spokesman said in a statement.

However, Mr Tziolas said the department received just one complaint.

The couple decided to be part of the naked photo shoot after they were approached by a friend who was unable to take part.

"We got some beautiful loving shots that we wanted for a keepsake and we were paid to do it," Mr Tziolas said.

"We were honest. Yes, we're both teachers. Yes, we have sex, and yes, we are loving and committed to each other.

"What we did we both stand by. We would do it again."

Mr Tziolas said his wife's suspension was "outrageous" and a "knee-jerk reaction".

What the teacher did is wrong especialy if it is in the infants or Primary school the children is young and naive.
what they do is in their bedroom is stays in the bedroom it's their spare time.

That kind of subject should be taught only in High school students when they reach in teenage years.

If she did full nude shots, I'd fire her too. That's not acceptable for your teachers to have that reputation. A schools success relies on their reputation

There are teachers that do worse (things that include their students) and they are still teaching, what has she done that is so horrible? They were expressing themselves (dont mean to sound like a hippy )

well we must admit that we live in a warped world.

i think sacking was a bit over the top,but some form of sanction would have been acceptable.

remember,only homosexuals and paedophiles are allowed to get away with this shit in your country..you dont want kids growing up and feel that man/woman relationships are the norm ..
