I agree with the very first poster ... THE EXORCIST is the best horror movies ever .... I also liked THE RING (and the original Japanese version RINGU). Also worth mentioning is the Asian classic horror THE EYE.

I'm only into a few genres overall....mainly horror, intelligent sci-fi (usually of the "deep-space mission" variety) and some arthouse (David Lynch is my favorite).

For my favorite sci-fi, I can't decide between the classic 2001:A SPACE ODYSSEY, ALIEN and the new and truly brilliant SUNSHINE.

Other films on my favorite list : MULHOLLAND DRIVE, LOST HIGHWAY. Also love a really good animated movie so FINDING NEMO and PRINCE OF EGYPT get a mention.

the best exorcism film there was, was the exorcism of emily rose. the rest were crap, not scary and so crap that you had to laugh during the actual exorcism scene.
