Darwin may be small compared to melb and syd but it rocks.... we dot need to leave home and hour before we want to go out to get there on time its the best

I have only visited Darwin once and it does seem like a nice town.

I was just disappointed coz it seemed that there was no place where the greek youth socialised together. Of course, it may just be that I didn't look hard enough. And i dont mean those monthly greek get togethers ... I mean a coffee place, or something where you all hang out. If I am wrong, please let me know where such a place might exist for the next time I go up there.

Also, wet season is bloody hot ... you MUST have air-con to survive it.

ummm p gate their isnt really like a greek hang out for the youth their is shit loads of kanenia but nothing were we can listening to greek music drink our frappedes and just hang... but give me and my sis (soccer princess) a few years and we will have one up and running full taverna and all its our dream to make one.. mum in the kitchen cooking me behind the bar... one for u one for me... it will be cool

darwin is okies.. we get our fair share of greek singers, we have a greek school which has educated thousands of the darwin greeks our church we have a cyprian hall and a kalymnian hall there is nothing bad about darwin except for the whether...

if we had 4 seasons darwin would be the best place in australia to live..period...

and the wet is stinking hot p gate...like a fuken sauna 24/7!!! but it has its perks good tan comes from it:P the dry is very noice.. its cool u get to swim without the jelly fish and my fave jet ski its mad i love it mind u the lowest it drops to is like 18degrees and we all pull out our winter gear and act like we live in antarctica lol

And don't get me wrong I liked Darwin, even though it was wet season and extremely hot. I just kept cool staying in the air con. It has lovely roads, it's nice and green ... I loved Cullen and Cullen Bay and all the new development down at Baygon. And all that stuff they are building down near that road that takes you out to the pier. It's a lovely place.

I saw the Kalymnian Hall and the little church that isnt being used and I also saw the Cyprian Hall. I also went to church on the sunday i was there - a very nice church BUT very hot

I was just looking for somewhere to hang out and the best options I was given were ... Coffee Club in town or Jamaica Blue in Casuarina

It's just such a shame that you have so many young Greek people up there but you don't unite. I hope it happens for you all.

Next time I will come up in the dry season and will venture out a little more.

Also ... I am very glad to see that you have great taste in your Greek soccer team

Thats it... the cool spot is kotsobolio central in darwin.... the worst is to go there for lunch on weekdays, when all the greek trades go there and you walk in and all you here is ...'auti xeries pia einai...to ...... h kori' and they start....you need to go home and get the mati done thats how bad it can be....

The most recent development on the greek hang out is Boost Juice on Mitchell in the city... all the neolea goes there! or the rocks (nightcliff cliffs/beach) alot of wogs hang out there when its not raining but when it is alot of them go to the water gardens and sit in the undercovered areas.

P-gate its bayview hun oxi Baygon... thats for the katsarides.... darwin is rapidly developing and growing and having lived here my whole life the change is way for the better.... and mine and my sistere baraki will just crank it up a notch.... i want to make down near the wharf/pier that you were saying now that they are expanding it down there... the government is spending like 50 million to re develope australia's biggest harbour (thats right darwin has australias biggest harbour wooohoooo ) its going to be amazing when its done.
