is that the original 1.3l doc engine from suziki that came out factory standard petro ?

i'd assume its running a stock " snail " turbo with 5psi ?

or have you done aftermarket turbo and injectors and modifications to bring it up to 7psi.

because i know these gti's for quick for a little 1.3l.

your engine can handle up to 7psi without any internal work anything after that i would suggest doing fordged internals to actually up the boost but i don't think the gear box in that thing would be lasting long.

nice little clean car you have by the way looks really nice smile.gif

edit : i can see you have put an oil catch can as well i think that actually screws around with emission laws to you better becareful unless where you live there are no laws like that.

and you have mandrel bent stainless steel piping with cast iron intercooler piping so i think you must be running some kind of front mount.

you also have a blow off valve which is kind of clean as well.

i don't understand why you don't have a cold air induction for your pod , you should atleast shield your pod because you are losing power because of engine heat and you are sucking up hot air . What i suggest you should box it up or put some kind of alumiuim shield , i know modification places do sell them to go around pods and to actually run a pipe if you have room from the bottom to the pod to actually gain colder air because we all know that heat rises and the most coolest air is at the bottom.

just my 2 cents worth you could gain anywhere between 5kw to 9kw extra out of the car and it will be more responsive as suppossed to being sluggish in hot weather as well.

You can hear it coming from the round about down the street, hey petro... wheezing around the corner of my house!!!!

Creeking into the drive way, you can hear the car shaking whilst the music is playing... laugh.gif

nice wheels petro laugh.gif

yes yes, mock that i don't have a car yet, i would rather Foot Falcon!
Petro
Yea ok well ive got a T25 turbo running 8psi (asked Suzi Tech they reckon thats the most i can put) still got standard internals but ive sent my gear box to Suzi Tech and they've made it bulletproof done all this shit to it
ah my oil catch can is ok, here in Darwin no ones cares. My car at the front sits about half a coke can off the ground so its pretty fricken low aswel.
Um got 3" exhaust turbo to back with a 5" Cannon tip
ive got i small front mount but its thick as a mofo.
blow off vavle is really sick its nice n loud.
as for my cool air intake it used to be where the battery was cos my battery used to sit in the boot and it was running way beta cos i had straight cool air coming from the front but the battery stank in the boot so i put it back infront.
At the moment ive got 100kw at the wheels and ive pulled a 14.6 down the 1/4 mile so its not really that fast but its good enough for my first car
NO.1 WOG
t25 from garret.

if you can afford it you should of looked into a ball bearing turbo they spool up alot more nicer and quicker.

i do suggest running one of the oddessy batteries in the boot and actually doing a full cold air intake , because with turbo conversions and sets ups batterys in the engine bay no good in my opinion gives you less play and things to muck around with..

a 14.6 is not that bad for a 1.3l considering its class , plus also the heat and the weather in darwin also would play a big role.

i've managed to build with a friend of a mine because im into nissans and stuff , a n15 sss pulsar with a sr20det running a t28bb turbo from garret on 7psi with stock internals , u13 bluebird ecu computer , piping , front mount intercooler which is huge , and we pumped out 188.7kw on the dyno.

buts thats out of a 2.0l engine.

im sure your running a stock ecu maybe you could run a daughter board or bigger injectors to actually give it more flow , take it to a dyno place and they will tell you exactly what it needs if its runnning to learn or not.

i know in sydney they charge like 50 bucks for 3 runs .

im sure you could get those times down alot better because it is only a small light car.
Petro
yea na ive got a full Engine Management System (Link) its New Zealand. Its sick it tells me everything i need to no from RPM to fuel & air ratio to system volts to oil pressure, temperature everythin (but thats wat they do anyway)

the hard part for me wen i race is that i dnt get much traction infront, so when my wheels spin the car starts bouncing cos its not heavy enough to grib on the ground

A cast-Iron block would fix that.
NO.1 WOG
i think its time for an suzuki lsd in your car that will stop it from bouncing abit and allowing both wheels to spin.

its called a boost gauge it measures the pressure of the turbo at so many psi

psi = pounds per square inch!

basically your forcing more air into the engine so it goes alot faster.

think of it as a large blow drier.

Hmm the only thing cool about this "boost gauge" is that you can change the colour of the lights inside it...

Ok yep a large blow drier that's more my lingo..
So the psi puts alot more air into the engine thus leading it go faster.. So in my terms it would be like putting a gauge on my hair drier and instead of drying my hair in 10 minutes it would take 5... I get ya now wink.gif laugh.gif

The rims look like they should have their own theme song laugh.gif like Jaws, terrr nerr nerrr nerr terrr nerr nerr nerrr laugh.gif

niko
Stockies on the front, those rims do not suit your car. Interceptors
NO.1 WOG
your shit niko , stockies LOL.

i'd go for something more metallic than chrome or more of a race style rim

this rim here is a HP rim looks really nice if you ask me and the black on the rim will match your car.

Petro nice ride as I luv the turbo cars, although just reading through some responses a few people are wrong in terms of your setup. For you to be pumping out around 100kw at the wheels in a car that has one of the best power to weight ratios around is fantastic. The problem why you ran a 14.6 run is not because your lacking power, No 1 Wog recommended a ball bearing turbo, this in theory sounds better but in practise it will most probably make your time even slower. Reason being is that you are faced with the common problem, pretty obvious one its called wheel spinning , 1st 2nd 3rd sound familiar hahahhaha that’s why, leave your setup up the way it is14.6 is still a fast little;e street car. Little advice if your into street racing try and doing rolling starts from about 50-60 so you don’t have to go through that take off spiniing waste of time. As for your pod airfilter, they make your car breathe slightly better when setup good but its not worth wasting time over it as they only improve that cars performance slightly. (and they waste ur petrol tongue.gif)
Ciao Ev

Thanx re Greek Boy im happy with wat ive got for now for a 1st car, but i think im starting to want something fatser, dnt think ill do anything else to her cos she still has the standard internals but yea dirol.gif thumbsup.gif
