Whats to say that the ancient Greeks didnt sail to America? The findings there are greek and seem to have been incoorporated into the peuvian way of life.
It is quite possible and very interesting to think that the greeks sailed as far as the american contet. Whats to say they didnt. Very interesting HiNrg.

SAMPLES OF THE HELLENIC LANGUAGE AT HAWAII ISLANDS
Heidenburg University published in 1987 the German researcher's N. Josephson book entitled 'GREEK LINGUISTIC ELEMENTS IN THE POLYNESIAN LANGUAGES - GREEK PACIFIC' in which exist comparative catalogues between 808 Hellenic words and their corresponding Polynesian ones. This linguistic influence at the Pacific Ocean islands was provoked, according to Josephson, around 950 B.C. by Greek colonists....

I will again need to refer to Ioannis D. Passas who along with the american A. Merge were involved in unveiling the truth about America. Their study is extensive and thus any effort to quote passages from his work is useless.
On the other hand there are a few points to mention. Those really interested in how the relations between the native americans and the ancient Greeks were should start from checking the names of native american villages down in Brazil. Secondly , someone should also check the numerous similar architectural patterns found between the two civilizations. Finally, try to find out what happened and who did in fact demolish the ancient cities found along the coastline of America.
One thing for certain, thank god for the people with true insight and experience in ancient greek documents.

Great topic Hi NRG, its not at all impossible for Greek sailers (or any others in the meditteranean, that wanted to search for the worlds 'end'. and ended up in America. I've also seen a documentary on the Discovery Channel on how its believed the few true discoverers of America was actually a small fleet of Chinese that wanted to search for the worlds end and ended up in the USA. i cant remember during which period or who it was. so im sorry, maybe someone can ellabroate on what i said?

I saw the same documentary in Discovery. It was during when China was the greatest power on earth. I have a feeling that this was during 1100's or 1200's? ...A very interesting documentary indeed. I am afraid that i dont remember the Admiral's name aswell...

Ive studied this claim that the ancient Greeks discovered america and I dont beleive theres anywhere near enough evidence to confirm it
Nonetheless a Greek did discover America, Christopher Columbus. He was a Byzantine Prince from Chios.

Alexandros, TI SIMAINEIS;?
"sorry i find it that american greeks are not true greeks."
Please elaborat on what you mean!
I am Greek American and believe me I am more Greek than many Greeks who live in Greece!!
I hope that isn't what you mean.
I know countless numbers of Greeks in the U.S who return to Greece yearly and know Greek history better than many Greeks in Greece and even feel purely Greek instead of "American".
Do you think Australian Greeks or Canadian Greeks more Greek than American Greeks??

If I see a generalisations of Greek Americans like that again a warning will be given, as an old timer have been to American message boards and can confirm this -- They are very Greek my friends. So to all think before you start generalising Greek Americans like that again...Try me.......And you'll see how serious I am...
