Panathinaikos Athens having the support of nearly 20,000 funs last night against Benetton Treviso, broke all the European records, Panathinaikos Athens made one of the greatest modern comebacks in European basketball and qualify in the final 8 of Euroleague as the best in the group. The Greek champs will now play against Tau Ceramica Vitoria with a home advantage.

As for the game I probably know much more than what you think. 1987 was one of the major sporting Greek events when we beat USSR to win the European Championship. I remember listening to the game live on radio and everyone going crazy at home when the game finished. It was as big as us winning the Euro in 2004. I was also In Greece for two years and watched the great players Gali, Yiannaki and Fasoula play. Back in those days Aris was the the team dominating Greek basketball, not PAO or Olympiakos. At the moment PAO is dominating Greek basketball (and I never said otherwise) and I admit to it even though Im an OSFP supporter. They have more league and European titles in the last few years. Greece also won the Eurobasket in 2005. ELLAS OLE OLEEEEEE DEN STAMATW NA TRAGOUDW POTEEEE!!!

So we have stated that OSFP clearly is in front in the soccer (whether you like to admit to it or not) while PAO is doing well in the basketball. The next two popular sports in Greece are Volleyball and Polo
