Peter Tsekenis was one of the worst players to play professional football. Me, JJ, my brother & friends used to tell him off big time when he used to play for Sydney Olympic. I still remember during one match at the Croation Sports Centre when JJ was telling Tsekenis off big time & got into a argument with a female Olympic fan that had the shits with JJ because what he was saying. The whole crowd herd the argument. The Sydney United fans were confused. We just could believe how he used to captain Olympic. It was like playing with 10 men each week. He never used to get involved & when he did touch the ball it would be a nothing pass back to a defender but never creative.
We used to have the Tsekenis hate club on the hill, but after what he did today we should xegrapsi him from a Greek forever. He can be like those uneducated, Bulgarian speaking gyfti.

Hi Jimmy,

I dont mind if you dont like the fact that i play and coach a team thats not greek. You are also entitled to have your views. The thing i dont appreciate is the fact that my family comes to my games with 3 young children and dont want them exposed to that.I dont even care about the abuse i get on the forums as my kids and family dont see it. i hope you can understand what im saying especially if you have a family of your own.As for the threats on the forum i am easily accessable at any time so dont hesitate to approach me.If you have any questions about me or why i do what i do please feel free to ask.By the way im proud to be greek and no one can take that away from me.

Regards,

Peter Tsekenis

and this was my response

Peter, I have no problem with players coaching or playing for other teams , you all have to earn a living.

I have not threatened you on forum, all I have done is bagged you.

If im going to threat you, ill do it face to face.

As for being Greek as you say, wearing that t shirt you wore on Sunday is a sellout to all Greeks, you knew political shitfight it was going to create, Then why wear it.

If you think that’s the end of it, when it gets aired on tv, others will want to have a piece of you. My suggestion would have been is have worn the Official Polo top, not something that is politically volatile.

Thanks
Mega Koukla
angry.gif One thing i hate more than those fkn skops is Greeks who betray there heritage like that. How dare he wear that top.

What he did is the biggest insult to all Greeks. JJ good on you for giving it to him, mate if i was there i would have joined you :gunsmilie: :bruce_h4h:

As for your reply, you made valid points biggrin.gif
Sennitsa

Tsekenis is the worst player in the history of the Sydney Olympic club

After his disgraceful contribution on the field to the greek community, he has gone and done this.

If anyone ever sees him again supporting the greek national side at the kazzie club as he was during the world cup qualifier screenings, he should be abused and told to go and support the southern serbs down at rockdale.

On another note, in this months four four two magazine, his shocking mullet was deemed the worst hairstyle ever to wear a socceroo jersey

The funny thing was that they actualled named him tony tsekinis.

Peter Tsekenis Sydney Olympic FC 1st Grade Coach for 2011 Season

Sydney Olympic is proud to announce Peter Tsekenis as the 1st grade coach for 2011. After a long period of negotiations, the Board of Sydney Olympic and Peter came to a final agreement a few hours ago and together with his assistant Peter Papoythis they will be in charge of the 1st grade team of Sydney Olympic the coming season.

Peter was very excited after signing his new contract and mentioned to the Sydney Olympic media staff:

"We are very happy to be here, I have had the chance to play here, I was the captain of Sydney Olympic and now a coach of the Club." After Peter Raskopoulos, Peter Tsekenis is the only the second person that has achieved this.

"After my discussion with the President of the Club, Mr George Giannaros I realized that the Club is moving in the right direction and it is time that we also do all we can to support the Board of Sydney Olympic and take this Club back where it belongs, at the top tier of Australian football."
Tsekenis and Giannaros
"Personally, I see this as an opportunity as I can see all the positive steps the Club has made this past season and I want to give something back to the Club that I have supported and loved since I was a kid. Its time for all of us to do what we can to support our Club and bring back some credibility to the blue and white jersey."

"I will be assisted again this season by Mr. Peter Papoutsis and we are still discussing with people to finalize our coaching team for next season. Our main focus is to get the players understand what jersey they are wearing and the history of Sydney Olympic, so all together we can bring back the pride of the Club."

The Board of Sydney Olympic would like to wish Peter and his assistant all the best with the new role they have took on and they will be supported by Sydney Olympic office staff and Board of Directors throughout the period they are employed by the Club.

It is a great opportunity to work closely with a well known coach that the Board believes can deliver to this Club and meet the expectations of our supporters.

More details on Peter Tsekenis will be uploaded on our website in the next few days and ways to communicate with our first grade coach will also be announced shortly.
